Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963, to a musically inclined family in Newark New Jersey is the daughter of Gospel star Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. She's also the cousin of the singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark Whitney, she began singing in the church choir as a small child. When she was 15 years old, she accompanied her mother backing vocals in Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. Later, she provided backing vocals to Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and even her mother. She began working as a vocalist in the band Material. the funk group from New York, Material and it was the excellence of her work as a vocalist in the band that caught the attention of major record labels, including Arista with whom she signed in 1983, and with whom she would remain for the remainder the duration of her career. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album by a debut artist. My Love was her debut album. Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN political reporter and anchorwoman. Her programs on Saturdays include Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Her awards and accolades include inclusion in the Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. She is known to have amazing anchoring and reporting skills, and is admired by young journalists.
